Microsoft Designer empowers everyday users to build beautiful content easily. I contributed to a flexible logo template system that gave users a fast, high-quality way to craft their own brand identity—without needing formal design experience. These templates were crafted for real-world use, from Instagram to invoices.
Create a general-purpose logo system that works across multiple platforms and brand needs. Templates had to be editable, scalable, and stylish—built for social media, packaging, business cards, apparel, and more. The end goal: make visual identity accessible to creators, small businesses, and personal brands through templates that feel smart, personal, and easy to use.
-Designed over 70 fully editable logo templates
-Built responsive assets for Instagram, LinkedIn, and stories
-Developed designs adaptable for business cards, packaging, websites, and more
-Templates informed Microsoft’s generative AI through structured layouts and metadata
-Explored a wide range of styles: wordmarks, monograms, geometric marks, seals, and badges
-Focused on typography-first solutions that allow users to make the brand feel personal
-Avoided imagery or trademarked iconography to ensure broad reuse and legal safety
-Created designs in both timeless and trendy styles
-Designed all layouts to be intuitive and easily editable—users can change text, fonts, and layout with minimal frictionIncluded placeholder elements like taglines, city names, and established dates to give logos more narrative flexibility
-Used simplified color schemes to allow brand color adjustments, unless color was part of the core concept
-Developed logo layouts for dark, light, and textured backgrounds to ensure clarity across use cases
-Created designs in key sizes:Instagram Post, Instagram Story & LinkedIn Sponsored Content
-Templates were tailored to scale across media like email signatures, invoices, websites, and merch
These templates gave users the power to design professional, on-brand logos that scale with their needs. They’ve since become a core part of Microsoft Designer’s branding toolkit—supporting creators, founders, and freelancers in defining their visual identity from day one. Behind the scenes, these templates also feed Microsoft’s Copilot AI, allowing users to generate logos through prompts based on the structure and styling I helped define.
