Microsoft Designer is an AI-powered visual content platform that enables users to create high-quality graphics with ease. While the tool offers wide design flexibility, the use of generative AI introduces challenges around bias, diversity, and consistency. My team was tasked with developing ethical and inclusive design systems that guide the AI toward producing responsible content.
-Developed prompt structure best practices to reduce racial and cultural bias
-Created inclusive template sets used to train and inform AI behavior
-Audited design styles for enterprise vs consumer-facing contentIntroduced iconography packs that represent a broader user base
-Partnered with content and design to align AI voice and visual tone
We began by analyzing prompt behavior and identifying gaps in the AI’s ability to deliver inclusive and usable content:
-Studied prompt failures (e.g. distorted anatomy, defaulting to white subjects, chaotic composition)
-Ran A/B tests on sentence structures to see how phrasing impacted output
-Evaluated industry design standards across enterprise, seasonal, and retail sectors
-Worked with content strategists to build a library of ethical and inclusive language
-Monitored internal Copilot usage and adapted prompts based on performance feedback
-Authored prompt structures that improved consistency, tone, and diversity in image generation
-Created visual style sets (Winter, Retail, Enterprise & Sports) with defined use cases and icon families
-Developed imagery with the AI that communicated abstract ideas like teamwork, trust, and collaboration
-Built icon packs that reflected cultural nuance, emotion, and accessibility
-Defined prompt writing workflows that improved visual quality and user control

A simple, flat illustration of [a corgi] sitting on [a couch] with a few pillows against [a light teal] background.
The revised prompt produced a cleaner, more intentional image that met brand style and context. Arrange what you want focus in the beginning of the sentence and add brackets for what you want emphasized like object, direction and written text.
Here are the AI-driven visual assets I built through design systems and prompt engineering guiding Copilot to generate cohesive icons, emojis, clip art, stickers, background and wallpapers across multiple themes.
Brought winter to life through a playful set of icons, stickers, clip art and wallpapers. Each piece blends seasonal magic with clean design, mixing cozy charm and crisp structure in a variety of styles and layouts.
The world of retail through a thoughtfully crafted set of 40 icons, stickers, and clip art. From sourcing materials to storefront moments, each asset captures a step in the retail journey through a mix of literal and symbolic visuals. The collection draws from styles like utilitarian design, realism, impressionism, midcentury retro illustration, pop art, flat illustration, and vintage minimalism.
These images are tailored for enterprise clients and investors who value teamwork and collaboration. They emphasize diverse perspectives, problem-solving, and how cooperation builds trust and drives results. Visuals like bridge-crossing, team huddles, and interlocking circles reflect adaptability and shared success in a professional setting.
